About Us

Telluride - The Big Picture

Telluride sits in a box canyon. Steep forested mountains and cliffs surround it, with waterfalls at the head of the canyon. Numerous weathered ruins of old mining operations dot the hillsides. A free gondola connects the town with its companion town, Mountain Village, Colorado, at the base of the ski area. Telluride and the surrounding area have featured prominently in pop culture. It is the subject of several popular songs. It is especially known for its ski resort and slopes during the winter as well as an extensive festival schedule during the summer. More and more visitors are seeking the coolness of the summer weather in Telluride.

Meet The Team

Erin Nance

Erin Nance is Colorado transplant from Savannah, GA. After a decade working in hospitality and tourism in Charleston, South Carolina, she traded the beach for the mountains. And in true Southern girl style, Erin is much more a fan of the Colorado summers than the winters! Along with husband Bob and Bull Terrier, Warner, we love to hike and take our Jeep out and do all the off roading the west has to offer. Erin has been at Accommodations in Telluride since January of 2017. Erin has also worked for the Telluride Daily Planet in Advertising and just about every bar on the Mountain. Erin received her bachelor’s degree in marketing in the fall of 2017 and has helped develop Accommodations in Telluride web and social media presence with the education and experience she has gained in 4 years as a part of the AIT family.

Lee Zeller

Lee Black Zeller and her husband Dennis were drawn to Telluride after attending college in Ashland, Oregon. “If you want a mountain like Mt. Ashland, then go to Telluride…bigger and steeper.” Taking the challenge from college buddies, they moved with some friends for the winter of 1978-79, just for 4 months. Like so many others, the winter brought them here and the summers kept them here! After several years of bartending stints (Remember the Roma!, Sofio’s, and the original Last Dollar Saloon?), advertising for local newspapers and magazines and working in ski shops, Lee became the General Manager of Mountain Alarm, Inc. From there, she was in the mortgage business with The Mortgage Store, surprisingly at the same spot where Accommodations in Telluride’s office now resides. Finding the itch to have her own business, she searched high and low for a good fit, and the hospitality niche fit with the purchase of Accommodations in Telluride. Lee has become a leader in the hospitality/lodging industry in the region sitting on several highly active boards. Currently she is on the San Miguel Lodging and Oversight Committee that helps county officials navigate the vacation renal industry through the pandemic. Earlier she has served on the Telluride Tourism Board who affectively markets the entire Telluride Region, and several others, such as the Telluride Academy, Lizard Head Hockey, and Rainbow preschool. Two Zeller children, Ivan, and Keenan, went through the Telluride School System and are successfully living out their dreams in Bozeman, Montana and Fort Collins, Colorado. If Lee is not in the office, or in the field checking properties, you can find her passionately hiking the mountains around Telluride, skiing the mountain, or perhaps, slipping away to travel. After all, travel (VACATIONS) is what Accommodations in Telluride is all about!

The Zeller’s have a son and a daughter, Ivan and Keenan, both passionate about hockey, and both now in College. Lee has served on several boards including Rainbow Preschool, Telluride Academy, The Telluride Fire Protection District, the Lizardhead Hockey Club and now on the Marketing Telluride, Inc. board. In her (HA!) spare time, she skis, hikes, trains for half marathons, river rafts, and is a certified Matrix Energetics Practitioner.

Sara Spencer

Sara Spencer got “stuck” in Telluride for a month in February 1993 and met her late husband Scott. She went back and graduated from Colorado College and then moved to Telluride full time in the summer of 1993. Her first job was driving the Galloping Goose to the Mountain Village and back, before there was a gondola. She realized how much she liked working with people, and took a job working at the San Sophia Inn. Sara helped manage the Inn for 5 years before moving on. She got her Real Estate license and then started her family. Sara has 2 boys, both amazing skiers. She has trouble keeping up with them! In her spare time, you can find her snowboarding, running, or hiking with her dog Murphy. Sara joined Accommodations in Aug. of 2011 and has loved working with the women in the bordello.

Kelsy Colvin

Kelsy Colvin has spent her whole life in Colorado, growing up mostly in Woodland Park. She has always been a fan of the great outdoors, and when she found Telluride, she knew it was the place to be! Kelsy moved to Telluride in 2017 with her boyfriend Sean and dog Ares, and they have no plans to leave any time soon. Her free time is spent hiking, snowboarding, fishing, biking, or dancing in the park with friends at one of the many music festivals in Telluride! Kelsy joined the Accommodations family in 2017 and loves working with all the ladies in the office: the living and the ghosts from the bordello days in the Pick and Gad Building!
