It’s the little luxuries in life that just make everything better. The feel of high thread count linens when you slide into bed every night, the taste of gourmet coffee that you brewed yourself, sweetened with your favorite creamer, and the undeniable luxury of slipping into a bubbling hot tub on a frigid night, the stars twinkling down on you, and the bubbles hitting all the right spots. These are the things that keep us going every day and when you are traveling, they enhance your vacation experience, which is why we at Accommodations in Telluride work hard to give our guests these luxuries (and so much more!). This guide to your Telluride dream vacation come true will delve into those luxuries and give you the opportunity to start dreaming about slipping into one of our hot tubs when you choose one of our Mountain Village Colorado rentals with that added amenity.

Good Things Come to Those Who Wait
In other words, we aren’t going to dip our toes into the bubbles quite yet, we will take this tour of beautiful luxury one step at a time, beginning with your first impressions of your Mountain Village escape. Whether you chose a standalone home or a condo, you may not be able to hold back your gasp of delight at first sight. Springing from the Telluride landscape as if they were planted in our fertile soil, our properties somehow manage to stand out while blending in. Build of wood, stone, and glass, during the summer months they may appear to be a part of the landscape, which is where the blending in comes in to play, but in the winter months? They stand out against a snow covered landscape, a beacon of warmth and welcome, inviting tired travelers to come inside, get warm, and stay a while.
Filled with Light
In the winter months the sun rapidly drops behind the mountains that have made us famous, but inside your Mountain Village sanctuary it will still be bright and warm. Step into spaces with soaring ceilings and walls of windows, perhaps dropping your bags at the door as you are eager to begin the tour. Floors of polished wood (sometimes tile) stretch out before you, leading you to rooms filled with treasures that can’t wait to be discovered, and our first stop brings us to the living room. This is a room where the family hangs out, rejoicing in the fire that is surely cracking merrily in the fireplace, lounging on plush sofas, reading in that corner chair as the snow falls outside. Modern televisions, sometimes smart, sometimes cable access, tend to be mounted to the wall, often above the mantel of that fireplace, and book cases filled with books, movies, and games may be on display. Colorful throw rugs and soft throws tossed across the back of the furniture may provide additional warmth and the cheerful vibe will add cheer to your own disposition. Many of our larger homes will offer two living areas, allowing two families to have space to call their own.
The Center of Family and the Heart of It All
Our tour brings us next to two rooms that are forever intertwined, the dining room and kitchen. Just as in your own homes, the dining room is where family activity seems to be centered as you gather round large tables perched under chandeliers or other light sources, dining, telling dad jokes, reminiscing about old times, and making plans for the future. Our tables will be surrounded with enough seats for every seat in your traveling party and will always be located within steps of the heart of the home, our fully equipped kitchens. Travelers often have a complicated relationship with these rooms, not wanting to do anything that remotely resembles chores while on vacation, but our kitchens, filled with high end appliances, custom cabinetry, and in the larger homes, a center island are designed to make you WANT to putter around in the space, at least just a little. Wine chillers, blenders, coffee makers, and toasters will be lining the shelves and under the counters and behind every door you will find everything needed to complete your meal, minus the food stuff, of course.
Ok, It Is Time
We have reached the entertainment portion of our tour, so of course, we will start with that hot tub you have been dying to see. In many of our Mountain Village condos you may still find one resting on the decks outside the space, but if not, rest assured that there will be a community one waiting to give you the relief and romance that you need. But in our standalone homes, they will be outside on one of the decks, our properties often feature multiple decks on various levels, so you may have to search a bit before finding your piece of heaven. On the search, you will also see lounging chairs and fire pits, dining areas with tables, chairs, and shiny barbecue grills, and maybe rocking chairs and patio sofas; these outdoor spaces are designed to be as magnetic as the indoor ones, just not used as much during the winter months. The hot tub, however, tucked away in corners but often open to that magnificent Colorado sky is an amenity that will more than likely be used every day of your stay, providing comfort, soothing relief, and that touch of serenity and romance that will make your Telluride vacation shine even brighter.
Game Rooms, Laundry Rooms, and Spa-like Bathrooms
Of course, there is always going to be more when you choose Accommodations in Telluride, and our tour is far from over. More entertainment options can be found in the game rooms of our stand alone homes, often anchored by pool, foosball, or ping pong tables, more practical options can be found in our laundry rooms, allowing guests to pack light and save room for souvenirs, and more serenity options can be found in our spa-like bathrooms, often offering a focal point of a deep soaking tub! Ski storage rooms, although not listed in the title above, will also be practical spaces, and may be found in both condos and stand-alone homes.
Sleep Deep, Dream Happy Dreams
Our Mountain Village Colorado rentals with hot tubs (as well as those without) are guaranteed to offer the most comfortable beds in the state, ensuring that our guests will sleep deep and dream happy dreams every night of their stay, and yes, that includes our guests who seemed to have lost the talent for sleep as they entered adulthood. Some properties will offer multiple primary suites, so your friends getaway will ensure that each family (maximum of two) will have their own private space to retreat to when the world gets too people-y. Others may provide fireplaces, sitting areas, or even private balconies in and off the suite, ensuring that your moments in these rooms will be exactly what you need. State of the art televisions will be in most rooms, and although we do offer bunk beds in what could be considered the children’s quarters, many, if not most, rooms will offer king sized beds in which you can have those happy dreams.
