A Little About the Telluride Autumn Classic Fine Arts Festival
The most talented artists in the nation make their way to our doorstep during the week of the Autumn Classic, celebrating classic cars, fall foliage, and astounding art masterpieces, a festival that we in Telluride start eagerly anticipating almost before the previous year’s has ended! The car part of the festival is wonderful, but today, we want to talk about the arts part, lasting four days instead of three and providing even more beauty to appreciate.
It is difficult to top the stunning beauty of our natural landscape, the trees dressed in their finest autumn apparel, the crisp and clean air bringing joy to lungs that may be more used to city air, and the taste of pumpkin everything that the season encourages, but the artwork for sale in booths that line Heritage Plaza in Mountain Village, certainly will come close! The best part is the realization that the art isn’t just paintings or photographs; it is also jewelry, pottery, woodworking, and even knife making, all of which could help you get an early start to your holiday shopping! It’s hard to believe that Christmas will be just two months later, and if the past years are anything to go by, some Christmas decorations will have already made their way to the shelves of our stores by the time of the festival!
Fall for our Accommodations in Telluride Seasonal Top Cabins in Colorado
After attending the art festival you are definitely going to need a large space to hold all your purchases until it is time to go home again, so why not make sure those spaces are luxurious and comfortable as well? Wind down with a little television each night, although we use the word little loosely, as the televisions we offer aren’t just the latest high-end models, they are also large ones! Open concept floor plans will enable you to keep your eye on the TV as you get yourself a beverage from our fully equipped kitchen, watch a romantic movie while eating, and of course, watch the goings-on from anywhere in the living room. Some of our larger vacation cabin rentals in Colorado may even offer home theaters lined with leather recliners or a secondary living area, making it easy to separate the kids from the adults. Game rooms, of course, will be the primary thing that separates the ages, and if your children disappear the second you walk in, it’s ok, you’ll have a little peace and quiet and some time to put away your art purchases.

FAQs About Our Vacation Rentals
-
Do you offer any historic homes with period details?
A few of our town of Telluride properties have stood in the same place since the town was a humble mining town, offering original flooring, casement windows, and in one beautifully memorable case, the original brick exterior.
-
I can’t get enough art, can you suggest a gallery in town that I can visit.
Much of what will be offered at the festival will come from local galleries, but there are so many to see, you could take every minute of your vacation and not see it all. The Milk Moon Gallery at 307 E Colorado Avenue #101A, might be a fun one to visit in person, though!
-
I see that some of your properties have pianos or keyboards, are guests allowed to play them?
If there is anything the owners don’t want you playing with, they will lock it away, so it if is out in the open, play away.
-
We are avid thrifters, are there any thrift stores in Telluride?
Sit, Stay, Shop! describes themselves as an upscale emporium which is one of the best thrift stores in the area, and because the proceeds go to the Second Chance Humane Society, we feel really good about ourselves when we shop there!
-
We have a large group traveling together and we want to rent one of your largest properties, but we need a lot of bathrooms, is that even possible?
Most of our largest homes offer an equal number of baths and bedrooms, and some will even offer more!
