A Little About the Festival
For three days at the end of September and beginning of October, the colors of fall intensify as the Corvettes begin to appear on our landscape. The trees turn to reds, golds, and oranges, but the stars of the show, the cars, will come in an array of rainbow colors, each sure to make you want one of your own. Anyone with their own corvette is encouraged to join in the fun, and as this is more than just a car show, guests can expect to engage in walking tours of our mountain town, the registration dinner generally held at the Telluride Regional Airport in new Hangar 30, and listen to keynote speakers filled with all the knowledge of corvettes new and old. And that is just on the first day!
Throughout the three days of horsepower and harvest beauty, there is a road rally to Dolores, a poker run to Ouray, lunches, dinners, and the annual Corvettes on Colorado parade that will fuel the flames of your desire to own one of these beautiful little cars. An awards lunch on day three could be the climax of the event as you discover who really does have the best of the best, but there is an optional after event, Sunset Alpenglow Happy Hour, that lets the magic last a little longer!
The Fast Drive Back to Your Accommodations in Telluride Seasonal Sanctuary
We aren’t encouraging speeders, we are just saying that our Accommodations in Telluride cabin retreats in Colorado can be found all over the town and the mountain, ensuring that your journey home will not be one that last very long. The cars, all sleek, shiny, and colorful, are a wonderful sight to see, but just as with your own homes, the lights of our cabin retreats in Colorado will bring a warmth to your soul. Made of wood, stone, and glass, each structure springs from the landscape, appearing to have been planted in its spot, and when the night sky is the darkest (sunset comes earlier in the fall), the lights that stream out of the windows of your home sweet vacation home will welcome you, inviting you in to explore the warmth, comfort, luxury, and hospitality we are known to provide for tired travelers. Step through that front door, hang your jacket on the coat rack (or closet) found just inside, and go ahead and kick your shoes off!
