Telluride is a popular tourist destination, but it’s still a small town. If your group is thinking of partying long and hard 24/7 and dancing the night away, Telluride doesn’t have many spots to choose from. That said, there are a several good late night spots for just hanging out and enjoying life and the company of good friends in Telluride at night. Here are a few Telluride nightlife spots for all you night owls.
Telluride Nightlife: Cornerhouse Grille
Located in an old Victorian house, the Cornerhouse Grille is slightly off the main drag, but the bright blue façade makes it pretty easy to find. There’s plenty of outdoor seating where you can enjoy a delicious burger and tater tots while you savor the view. You can also grab a seat inside, watch the game, and savor a local brew. Soak in the view and the local laid-back atmosphere in the Cornerhouse Grille, and enjoy good bar food like burgers, wings, and tacos. They have a few kids’ items too. There’s something happening every night, with Friday’s Burger Night, Taco & Tequila Tuesdays, and Whiskey Wednesday and Karaoke. There’s breakfast on the weekends from 8:30 – 1pm, and Happy Hour every day from 3pm – 6pm.
131 N Fir Street, Telluride CO
Open daily 11am – 10pm (hours vary seasonally)
O’Bannon’s Irish Pub
Well, you had to figure there’d be at least one Irish or English pub on the list. O’Bannon’s is just what you’d expect too: very casual, kind of dark, and kind of loud. There’s a juke box, pool tables, and live music too on the locally famous Fly Me to the Moon Stage. While you sip your beer or cocktail you can play a game of pool, foosball, or darts. They also have a few old arcade-type games to play. One drawback is that they are located in the lower, basement level of a building, where there is no view. But, then again, this isn’t the type of place you come for the view anyway! O’Bannon’s is the place to go when you want to drink in a comfy, dark bar.

It’s a nice blend of old and new, all with a slightly upscale mountain vibe. Time your visit for sunset and sit outside where you can watch the sun slowly set over the mountains. It’s a great spot to relax, enjoy the snow-capped mountain view, the sunset, or the stars, all while enjoying a great cocktail and each other’s company. Sip whiskey-forward signature cocktails while enjoying their Rocky Mountain elk tartare, duck terrine toast, buttermilk fried rabbit, or the customer favorite Devilish Eggs. Give their dry-aged bison tomahawk or Rocky Mountain elk loin a try too. Dine in, or order take-out. If you’re staying in Mountain Village, they deliver!

When the weather’s nice, sit outside on the patio and enjoy a local craft beer and live music. You can also stay inside, where you can watch the game or challenge your buddies to a friendly game of pool. Try one of the staff favorites like green chili cornbread or their Peppermint Patty cocktail (Telluride Distillery’s Chairlift Warmer and hot chocolate). This is one of the best places to visit in Telluride at night!

Sheridan Historic Bar
Telluride’s most historic bar, the Sheridan Historic Bar, was established in 1895 and really hasn’t changed much over the years. It still has the original mahogany paneling and leaded glass divider panels between seats. Every visit to Telluride should include a stop here. This popular bar seems to be a hit with folks of all ages, and with locals and visitors alike. It’s a great spot for people watching too, whether you sit inside, out on the patio, or on the rooftop deck. Enjoy live music, play foosball or pool, or just sit and enjoy a local craft brew. Try the customer favorite Face Down Brown from Telluride Brewing Co. The bar menu offerings include Buffalo wings, parmesan truffle fries, and banana cream pie to pair with your wine, beer, or cocktails.
