Summer in Telluride
While Telluride is known worldwide as a ski resort, there is as much, maybe even more, to do in Telluride in the Summer. Telluride is the self proclaimed Summer Festival Capital of Colorado. We have summer festival information on our Festival page under “Dining and Activities”. Families and guests will find there is something for everyone, nerds to jocks, even nerdy jocks! You will definitely have jam pack days in the summer from hiking, four-wheel drive trips over the local mountain passes, horseback riding, sports activities and swimming at the town park and fishing in many local streams to the Telluride Institute, PIN head institute, and Telluride Science Research Center (TSRC). There is even an opportunity to send your kids to day camp, so you can sit and read a book. Even the gondola between Telluride and Mountain Village can be an adventure, and it is free!
