The Telluride Yoga Festival schedule is multi-tiered, offering events at various locations and venues throughout town. Held at the end of June, locations for the different events and activities will include Elk’s Lake, Bear Creek, and even Down Valley, a horse ranch in nearby Placerville. Classes, Styles, and Instructor Highlights
The classes of the Telluride Yoga Festival, while designed for everyone, will also include certification classes for instructors to enhance their “resume.” We’ve mentioned a few of our favorites below, but we encourage you to explore them all if you have the time.
- Flip the Script: An Inversions Immersion with Kirra Michael – Explore the art of inversion with one of the most joyful instructors in the festival. Blocks and straps will be needed.
- Yoga/Aging: Perimenopause& the Art of Transitions – Held in the Hotel Madeline Ballroom, this fascinating exploration of aging will help you gain strength and stability. Janet Stone is the instructor.
- Mountain Spirit: Equine Heart & Wild Grace – This Telluride Yoga Festival activity does cost extra, but it is definitely worth it. A shuttle brings participants from Mountain Village to a horse ranch in Placerville, where the art of yoga is practiced with equine assistance. Erin Cain, the instructor, is the founder of Grace Reins Equine Therapy.
